What is the best wax?

I am looking for info from people who have experience with different waxes. What product do you find works the best? Do you use it on tractors, trucks, cars? Where do you buy it? Do you suggest any special towels/cloths to rub it off with?

My favorite is Mothers. Mostly because if I get it on the black plastic on my truck it comes right off.

Some of my friends are serious car nuts, and they recommend Zaino products for the best show car finish. You can get it online, or from some specialty retail stores that cater to show car folks. I've never used it. I live a mile down a dusty gravel road, and there's probably only two or three days a year I can get from home to the paved road without a severe coat of either dust or mud, so for my own use, it's garden variety Turtle Wax.

Doctor Zogs s x wax.Works good on surf boards.I use Mothers on all vehicles.

Don't know about the wax, but had a boss who raced cars on dirt tracks. He used the furniture polish pledge so the dust would not stick to his $$$ paint/advertisements! Greg

I use Meguires. They have a whole line, but I found #6 cleaner/wax to work the best. And if you have an RV its works great taking off and keeping off the black streaks.

Collinite Fleet wax 885. I'm kind of an expert of sorts on such things like wax duration tests. I've used it for 17 years on my 25 yr. old boat, used in salt water. The gelcoat still has high gloss.

It's the longest lasting paste wax out there. Although marketed for marine and aircraft I've used it on my cars, tractors and harley.

I have absolutely no affiliation with this company.....

I agree with the Meguires recommendation. Great stuff and it doesn't hurt the paint by leaving behind a silicone film.

I don't like any of them. It stings like h*ll getting the bikini line done.
