Is there a trick to replacing the battery in a Gehl CTL 65 Skid Steer?

In my New Holland you really need to get the arms up in the air and the lock on. Then there is a plate along the body that can be unbolted and the battery will lift out.
If mine were completely dead I would struggle till I got it disconnected--jump in a good battery anf get the machine started. Lift the arms and go from there.
