seeing Dave Sherburnes spectacular shop in the post below is a wonderful sight I wish I had a shop like that, This is my shop in the corner of the basement garage,. Maybe this could start a thread of shop pictures?

I won't go there. My shop is a 12' by 14' building with a gravel floor. and is neaver as orginized as that one. I mostly do all my work outside.

Came in to take a break from wiring my new shop and what do I find on ytmag ........

30 x 50 - 12 ft. to the plate. All concrete water heated floor with insulation, 4 plug electric outlets every 4/6 feet, overhead storage, I have enough I beam to make an overhead traveling crane 30 x 40. Overhead doors are in since this picture was taken along with gravel, hope to concrete the drive soon. Yeah I'm proud of it, been waiting 40 years for this. Now to get it finished and a tractor in to restore.

I have almost all of the dealer signs from the Winfield farm Imp. dealers from the 50/60's to put up on the walls.

Show off................... Should park some red stuff in there so it's a little easier to look at.

Look at the back corner, and you'll see what remains of an f-12. The picture is a little old, and the f-12 is back together and running again. I like all old iron.

David, I see the plastic hanging from the top, is that for painting? If not, it is a good idea for it. I have a section set up for just painting, I think it's called a booth :), but that would be great for someone who is looking for a way to do clean work, and not have it tied up all the time.

Yeah, that is set up for painting. I'm not a professional painter, or pretend to be, but I dislike overspray on my tools. I can drop it down with a long pole, but have to use a loader to put it back up.

Ok, now we got you. Work getting done....??? We see the big screen TV with surround sound and the chair facing the TV that is on. "Just kidding" David that is one beautiful shop, you've done a nice job! A nice shop like that has always been my dream, well at least one of my dreams. LOL

Now that you've used that big (Hyd) flipup door for a while, how do you like it?
As a sunshade? As an outside work area? Especially like the lights that went up with the door.

Mine is 45X60X 18 high, fully insulated and equipped, built by Morton buildings. We reconditioned two combines the first winter we had it and the savings over trading paid for the shop. It was huge when I built it, but is nearly too small for us now--but we will have to live with it. It is first-class, just it would be nice if bigger--hard to do several projects at once as we used to do when 12 row machinery was big...

I have an upstairs loft very similar to the one pictured from Wyoming. I used to have a 10X10 office in the corner, but 2 years ago we added a 45X20 office and employee breakroom, with it's own furnace and A/C. That is the BEST feature, and I wish I had had it sooner. Satellite TV and internet, bathroom and shower. My sons (high school and college-aged) and their friends hang out there almost every weekend--sometimes a dozen kids.

Good place to meet with salesman. farmland landlords, have employee meetings, etc. I am proud of it. I wish I had pics and knew how to post.....

My only complaint is the door seems slow when opening and closing. Not a big deal, and probably for safety reasons it shouldn't move any faster. I haven't used it for a sunshade a lot, or done much work under it. Most of the time I bring the machine clear indoors, but the lights are handy.
