Anhydrous price jumped some here

Guess the supplier's saw the price of corn going up so they knew they could increase their prices. Had some locked in, but decided to put down some more. Might be $200 more in a month you never know. Anyone else putting it down and get in before the increase? I had good luck putting part down in the fall and sidedressing the rest in spring this year. One other thing, had good luck with some Agrigold this year, going to try some more. Anybody try their products?

Yes all fertilizer is going up. The fertilizer companies want to cash in on the high prices.

As far as seed corn companys go they all have to have a few good varities or they will not be in business very long.

Farmers will weed them out quick if they don't preform.

Seed Companys also will be trying to cash in on the corn prices as well as the chemical companys. So we farmers will still be working on a slim margins like we always seem to end up doing.

$500 last summer
$700 during harvest
$790 now

It's not sealing very good as we have went about 7 weeks w/o rain. Guys who have it bought for $500 are going anyway, upping the rate a bit to compensate for any loss. They are afraid it might be $900 by spring.

We have all of our continuous corn done as it seals fine on the worked cornstalks.

We are holding off on bean stubble hoping for enough rain to aid sealing. Might give up and do like the other guys after a bit if it stays dry.

You need to check out the value of the US Dollar and what the Fed is doing today which is increasing the money supply by around a Trillion$.Prices aren't going up in terms of REAL money in things like Gold and Silver but the US Dollar's value is falling. The Inflation chickens are coming home to roost

My ground is too wet, often under 2 feet of water come snow melt, so I don't chance putting N on in fall. I did one year when the corn was on the higher ground, worked well, but typically scares me too much.

So I get the spring price, whatever it may be.

Will be buying all my spring fert. this week. Dry starter and liq. N. Can't put N on here in the fall, it's too wet. Bought seed corn two weeks ago.
