Best pair of winter boots I've ever owned. Feet used to get cold in October and stay cold until May. No more. Mine are 3 years old, sole is starting to seperate on one of them but still water tight. Only complaint is they hold water from perspiration in the lowers. Feet dont get cold but they get pretty funky wearing them every day.

If you walk when hunting, and it is wet and mud, cold but not frozen, then non insulated rubber calf high boots are great. If you arn't in mud but as above, felt liner style (Sorrels were US made, no longer). but knockoffs are OK.) will do well. If you sit, or if it is frozen, use US Air Force Micky Mouse Boots. These will be the ticket to happy feet. They are 80 to 110 at a Surplus store, but irreplaceable in cold conditions. They are rubber outer, felt insulation, and rubber liner. They are sealed and the felt cannot get wet. Even if you get water in them, you will not get frozen feet, The water will warm up and just be wet. They are incredible. Jim

I am on my second pair. I am very hard on boots, these boots go through mud, snow, brush, even fencing. They are the Artic, er cold weather ones. Wearing them in this picture. Wasn't happy with where they're made, However a good footwear. Burnsy

Really like mine. Comfortable and warm. I thought my first pair were going bad so I bought a new pair. They are still in the box 1 year later. Maybe this year..I like the Chore style. Not cheap though.

kyhayman try this tip for your boots or any shoe for that matter.Take and ball up news paper lightly and stuff it in your boots up to the toe and fill them up with 3 or 4 balls of news paper when you take them off at night. You will be surprised at how wet the paper is in the morning and you will start your day with much dryer feet. A big plus also is less stinky feet and will cut down on getting athlete's foot which is tough to get rid of once you have it from being in that wet sweaty environment 14 hours a day.

JD,
I prefer Bogs boots (the tops aren't as tight). I suggest you compare before you buy.
Like Mucks, they are not cheap but they hold up to tough treatment and your feet with never be cold.

Have a great day,

Best thing I ever got for my feet. I bought the "Chore Boots and use them for the barn and everywhere else in fall, winter and spring. I like them a lot.

I use them in the barn every day. They are ok but they only last about 6 months. I was kind of looking for something that would last longer.

Very warm boot. I wear them all winter snowmobiling and all. Only have a pair of cotton socks on and never had cold feet, except if I sweat too much. Dry them every night on a boot drier. You will be good to go.

I bought a new pair last winter. Not to impressed.
Walmat has the same boot thats actually warmer for a lot less money.Only wore my muck boots once, prefer the walmarts.

Best pair of boots I have ever owned. I wear them year around, used to go through a pair of TSC boots every year, these last me 7 years. Only 2 pair so far in 11 years.

Mine lasted less than a month before the soles separated. I'll never buy another pair of Muck Boots.

love 'em, like many here I wear 'em all year round. Bout due for a new pair, as summer briars have loeft the neoprene tops looking like a gillie suit. I'm gonna get the ones with the harder plastic fronts this time to stand up to brush a bit better

Get a boot dryer when you buy them. You can find one wherever you buy boots. It plugs in the wall and uses a simple resistor to warm and dry your boots. Uses very little power. I have two: one for my regular boots and one for the muck boots. There's nothing like a warm dry pair of boots in the morning-even in the summer. They dry perfectly overnight.

(quoted from post at 09:59:35 08/22/10) Very warm boot. I wear them all winter snowmobiling and all.

I have a pair and can't imagine wearing them in the winter for cold weather protection. For summer they are ok but I tend to just wear my logger boots all the time as they are steel toe and actually provide ankle support. But they sure are handy for those quick trips out to the barn and such.
