ok now what's the story ? what really works to get rid of these dang skeeters? I use all the different repellents, bought a fogger (makes lots of fog )but the skeeters are still freocious,,nothing seems to actually kill them not even Malathion.bought electronic skeeter getters and I hate them sheeters, especially when driving my antique John Deere(there it's tractor related)

How much area are you talking about? If it's just a yard around your house, set up a rain barrel or two for them to breed in, after you see the larvea swimming around, put a couple goldfish in each one. If you can attract some bats, even better. We went from being ate up to no bites in a couple weeks. Can't remember being bit while near the house (1/4 acre) in the last 7 or 8 years.

I don't see the logic?
yYu have a skeeter problem, and you bought something you called a skeeter getter?.

Make sure that all the eavestroughs and any other place that can collect water is dry. cut back all the weeds and mow the grass short. In other words, take away their habitat.

Set up some bird feeders in the area where the little buggers are....your winged friends will take care of the bugs....of course after eating a few milo seeds..

When I was a kid on the farm, we always carried claw hammers.

Then when a skeeter got after us, we would run across the yard and duck behind a tree. The skeeter couldn't turn fast enough and would run its stinger through the tree. We'd then take the hammer and clinch the stinger on the other side of the tree so the skeeter couldn't pull it back out.

You had to get up early, feed and milk the cows and walk 20 miles to school in 3ft of snow. Uphill both ways huh???
