quick question

what gage/thickness metal should I use for making a bale chute for my JD 336 baler. I want to make the chute out of one piece of sheet stock brake formed to make the sides.

Thanks,
Jameson

You must have access to a pretty good brake. The older balers that were fabricated with angle iron and plate worked well also. I thought they were better built.

If you are pulling a flat rack you will need it in 2 pieces as the incline in one piece will bend your bale into a u shape. If you are dropping on ground you do not need a chute. I cannot think of any application where a one piece will work. What's the plan? Curious.

I'm having a metal shop make it for me...they have the equipment to do this fairly easily. I just threw together a quick drawing so they knew what I was talking about

now I will be able to pull my flat rack behind the baler (I still have to fabricate my wagon hitch) in time for straw and this year's second cutting.
