I watched the most increditable thunderstorms I have ever seen. The 11:00 news said there was 103 strikes per min. It sure looked that way from my back yard. The landscape was lit up like daytime, with green trees and red and silver barns showing clearly with each flash. I got very little rain, but just north of me there are reports of flooded roads and 1"+ hail in areas around Albany NY 50mi. east. We now have a second round coming through and I am now getting substancial rain. I live on high ground and will never get flooded, 1466' above sea level. Albany, an inland deep water seaport is at sea level.I love watching thunderstorms.If only we could harnice this awsome power,for private use.
 
Hi Larry, Ihave moved about 1000' from where I was raised The farm you see so often is the home farm that my two uncles took over from my grandad and my dad lives across the road from me. There were a total of 6 of my dads brothers and sisters that owned farms in our community.One other uncle is still alive and has a farm in town.My dad and grandfather owned a CASE machinery dealership, which operated from 1922-1986. The farmers in the area are now serviced by my good friends 30 miles to the east, who are carry the banner for CNH, Kubota, and many short lines. Everyone knows or is related to everyone else around here. I often say that if I got a$1.00 for every million dollar veiw I see in my travels each day, I would be a millionair myself.

Hey case guy- My friend from Syracuse is due in here in South-eastern Illinois this afternoon. I am going to show him some of your pictures, etc. to see if he recognizes any of the places you have shown. I will stay in touch with the answers. Dale
 
I really like to be able to see and hear from all the different people on this site, I think it is great. Not everyone is a farmer, but I think everyone does love tractors. I get to see and hear frpm a wide range of wonderful people.
