Looks like maybe one of these days I ought to get out there and cut a little hay........if the hail doesn't get it first.

So, I ordered a truckload of fuel last night.

Think maybe that's gonna curl the edges of the old checkbook. :>(

Allan, I've noticed every time you have to spend a dollar you make it a point to let everyone know. I enjoy spending my money but I certainly don't make an issue of it.

Consider it a Gamble with the ""MOM"" I still believe there are reasons to stay in the game (mainly food for all) Jim

That's just it.

I HATE spending money and I want ya to make me feel guilty. Downright despicable, in fact.

Please stop the drain. :>)

Allen's point of reference is back in the early 40's when a gallon on fuel was 20 cents when he could find it. Now, 65 years later, he can find the fuel but the cost is 3 bucks / gallon. It's hard to make an adjustment like that in such a short period of time.

Does that mean fuel isn't going any lower? I've been putting it off too. getting ten gallons at a time.

Considering what's happening in the Gulf (6 month moratorium, rigs shut down, much hand wringing and gnashing of teeth, cap and tax on the way), I think your timing may be just about right.

Fuel keeps goin down in these parts. Clear down to $3.15 for hwy diesel @ the pump. Not sure what bulk, dyed fuel is fetchin... Gotta think price is near bottom now. Although I just heard it was $2.75 a couple hundred miles to the north, but that's a whole nother state...

Heard something about Pa fuel.
Not going to be any off road fuel. this came from a service station owner.

He said farmers would get it back at income tax time . only heating oil will be exempt.

Just another perk set up for Rendell

Lots of us also just put it on a card and pay everything off once a month. Also gives ya documentation for tax purposes.

(quoted from post at 11:23:51 06/19/10) Money is like manure. It doesn't do any good until you spread it around!

Yep... and spread it around to much and it just washes down the creek.

You timed it just right. When the goverment bills BP for another 69 million for services provided ha ha, then you know you will be in a world of hurt . After all this country uses way to much of the stuff, right.
