Hi guys will a poor injector cause a diesel knock, makes a rattle in engine when you let up on clutch THANKS

A friend of mine had the same problem on his 4020 took off the oil pan and checked the crank and the rods..A-ok turns out it was the hydraulic pump....

Check the coupler from the front of engine to the hyd pump. Mine (5020) was broke and was slapping like mad BUT STILL WORKING, (turning the hyd pump enough to run it). Had to buy the new shaft, coupler and some rubber bushings. It is kinda hard to get to but not more than a hour or so job. First time I heard that I thought I was fixing to rebuild....was glad to find not.
