West Virginia Mine Disaster Update

At about 12:30 this morning Gov. Mansion of WV held a press conference. The rescue teams were finally able to enter the mine and found the missing 4 miners about 500 feet from the area where the others were. This brings the death toll to 29, the worst mine disaster since 1970 in Ky. It's now a recovery mission to bring all the remaining bodies out and lay them to rest. Please pray for the relatives and families of these men who lost their lives. Keith

I'm afraid prayer isn't going to do much now...

This 'disaster' does sound very familiar tho.

Much the same thing happened here 18 years ago next month.
The aftermath rewrote the laws governing workplace safety and responsibility in this province and the country.
It sounds as though the inspection regime was very similar... and useless.
