mustang skid steer not getting gas

I am trying to get my mustang skid steer to run right but the carb. just does not seem to get enough gas, it runs out of gas after a fiew seconds and after a fiew seconds of sitting it will start right up again. the motor is a 4 cylinder wisconsin. the only thing i have not checked is the carb. could the carb be blocked in some way? Any ideas would be helpful.

Did you take the fuel line off at the carb to see that you were getting a good steady flow of gas to it? If you're not, then you should probably check at the tank or filter. Pull the line off where it goes into the tank & check there, the outlet at the tanks sometimes get plugged with debris. If you've checked those and are getting a good flow to the carb, then yess it's probably the float needle valve or if it has a screen in the inlet to the carb. Let us know what you find. Keith
