Went to St.Louis, Mo. Tuesday and by the Ia. / Mo. line I saw 3-4 tractors in the field working the dirt ... One was PLANTING . { Kind of early for that isn't it ? ... will the ground be warm enough ?? }

Went to Omaha,Neb. today and saw 3 farmers taking there fall harvest out { combining corn } I bet they haven't done that before .. HARVESTING in the SPRING ...

Now the tractors are out BE CAREFUL .. in field and on the ROAD ... SPRING is HERE ...

I live in southern In and were hopin to start workin some ground this weekend if we dont get this rain. Little early for me to plant. We really dont like plantin this early ourselves and really rather the ground temp is 50 or so.

I was about 12 miles North of Omaha today, and saw one fellow knifing in his anhydrous. Looked real nice seeing him out there. Seemed like the snow would never leave! Greg

I agree.... and theres STILL SNOW on the south side of some hills ... must of been big drifts ...
I seen one on I680 and rest on I80 ...{ taking corn out }

Central Michigan, have seen several farmers in the fields, mostly disking corn ground, chisel plowing, and harvesting last year's corn. I've done some disking, moldboard plowing - this morning. Really could have started earlier. Want to plant oats/alfalfa ASAP.

Here in NW Iowa some manure is being knifed in but but as wet as the soil is they're probably packing the ground hard as a rock. Jim
