I supposedly bought a 2006 Kubota L2800 4x4 tractor, with 850 hours, loader, land scape box. and bush hog from Kirstin in North Dakota March 3, 2010. This was listed here on yesterday's tractor and then listed with Ebay. I wired $3000.oo for the tractor threw Western union and after almost a week after it was due here, I knew something was wrong. I went to Ebay, and they said they NEVER use 3rd party payments and send me to the FBI. I filled out all kinds of paper work and the local police, the police in North Dakota, and the police in Tampa, FL. nobody was real !!!!!!!! I JUST WANT TO ALERT PEOPLE ON HERE TO BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THESE CROOKS..... Save your money and dig deeper in the deals that seem very good, there are THEIVES out there. These people also had a Lokata Horse trailer Tell your friends[/b]

One of the oldest internet scams in the book. You never send money Western Union or any other way to anyone you don't know, NEVER!!! If they are an honest seller they will take cash on pickup or delivery.

thats why i never ever buy a tractor or truck that im not standing next to and have operated myself first, too many crooks out there

When the deal is too good to be true it usually is.Similar scams are on Craiglist all the time and never ever wire money for something like that.

One of our horses sold twice before someone figured it out and let us know someone had pirated an ad and used it themselves.

Being a Kubota dealer I watch the kubota sales and for some unknown reason seems these scamers have picked Kubota to do their dirty work. I guess it is the fact that they sell well. Theire is always an add on Craig,s List for a late model with a few hrs at a crazy price. The use every kind of trick to get your money. I guees as the other poster says if the deal is too good to be true you better watch out. Only problem is there is always another succker, they just keep trying because it works..

If it looks like a steal ,it is ! These scams have been going around since Al invented the internet . It always some neat toy, tractor ATV 4x4, camper ,you name it . If this is your first exposure to it ,your a rare one. Or the ,"I'm being deployed to Iraq and need to sell, or it's in a shipping container ready to ship , or 3rd party will hold the money to make sure your satisfied . The thing these scammers pray on is LACK OF COMMON SENSE. When encountered my first "Deal of the century " A S250 bobcat for $6000. I was tempted too. But with a few keystrokes soon found the lowdown on the whole deal . I have over 30,000 worth of certified checks sitting here. I laugh when I post somethign to sell they start rolling in . Thousands over the asking price , send overpayment ,etc. Never bit yet . Once again,If it's too good to be true !

Sadly, another scam- all last year it was a almost new John Deere utility w/ all the attachments for 4500.oo. I had a friend email me wanting to buy it, but we couldnt get a straight answer or get a location where we could see it-THAT SHOULD BE A TIP-OFF.So I talked him out of it. THEN I had another buddy in Canada ask me about the same tractor 2 weeks later! Same tractor, same scam, same pictures different location & names. I chased that one all around Michigan, Ohio & Ontario flagging it for removal, but apparently it is a very lucrative crime...

I haven't bought anything that the person I'm dealing with couldn't show ownership . you'd be surprised that people will sell there neighbors stuff.

among the rules I live by are two that pertain to this #1-never buy a cat in the sack and #2- If it is too good to be true it usualy is!

Scamers love Western Union. The cash tail is next to impossible to trace.

Never and that is long time pay for any thing via Western Union.

Be interseting to see the rest of the story some day?
