OT: Guarantee You That P*yton's Team Will Win

As far as I'm concerned, they ceased to exist when Jerry Jones uncermoniously fired Tom Landry.

I'm through venting/ranting now.

you know I was just kidding, where is mnjoe ,he has been behaving himself lately .change of subject what do you like better 70 gas or diesel, I'm going to be buying one in the next month or so,if I can find one for the right price,or maybe a 720.I think I've seen most of your videos.very good I might add!

Depends. Our 70 diesel has the pony motor to crank the diesel. We have 3 gassers, too. All our 70's are good, strong running tractors.

We find the old tractors seem to have "personalities" and some are better at certain tasks than others. For instance, "15" one of the gassers, seems to excel at pulling. If one of the other tractors gets stuck, "15" is the one we use to pull it out.

"Vernon", another gasser, has excellent power steering, so its used for cutting hay and chores that need a lot of turns.

"Big John", the diesel, we generally use to power the baler. Because of the pony motor, you don't want to use it if you're going to need to shut the tractor off and restart a lot. So that tractor gets used for chores that take more time without needing to turn the tractor off and restart frequently.

You shouldn't have any trouble locating a good one. When we were looking, we frequently saw 70's up north (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Illinois, Ohio, etc), but they're pretty scarce down south.

Yeah I know you were kidding; that's one thing we enjoy about the Tractor Talk forum.

Nancy and I were talking over dinner tonight how the "tone" of the Tractor Talk forum seemed friendlier these days.

Don't know the whereabouts of [b:654c4848f0]Joe Dan[/b:654c4848f0].

I think my good friend [b:654c4848f0]Old Roy[/b:654c4848f0] hurt [b:654c4848f0]Joe Dan's[/b:654c4848f0] feelings.

Now the hard part of answering your question "what do you like better 70 gas or diesel"?

If the job calls for non-stop, strong pull, sun up until sundown, the 70 diesel is my choice; especially since the power steering is working.

If the job calls for quick start, hard pull, stop and start, down in the woods, or joy ride, the 70 gas is my choice.

Even though we have 4 Model 70's, I'm still on the lookout for a good, affordable 720 gas or diesel.

Glad you like the videos; best way we know to share our work/fun with folks on the forum.

Over/Under how many times the network will show Archie Manning in his private box? I got a feeling of network "Favreaholic" type talk beating that angle into our heads.

Archie says he is rootin for Peyton and the Colts even after living for 39 years in the Big Easy.GO COLTS !!! I predict ; Colts 34, Saints 14 even if Dwight Freeny #93 doesn't play.
