OT/Atmospheric interference?

Was there sun spots over the weekend or something. The digital antenna TV was ALL messed up. We have 42 channels scanned in that usually come in alright. We were getting 3. FM radio was the same way. Kept getting other stations fading in over the ones that I was trying to listen to. Even on the Bose. If I got out of my recliner,I lost the signal. Don't know if things are better today or not, haven't paid much attention. Anybody else been having problems the last few days?

Yea, but I always blame Wildblue. Every evening they slow to a crawl. Then the weather..........
Not sure on the solar flare business -looks like some activity right now- check out SpaceWeather.com- very interesting

I had problems last night with my AT&T U-verse freezing momentairly. The usual solution is to unplug my residential gateway and restart it. That didn't help. This morning, it was working fine, so it's probably related to the same trouble others were having.

It's not the dish. That's been working just fine. Hasn't locked up once. It's been the antenna TV and FM radio.

Hasnt been bothering me any here in Maine but Ive been wearing my aluminum hat cause of all the spaceships flying around too. They are the ones causing the global cooling you know.Trying to freeze us out.The guvment is trying to confuse us by saying global warming, but I know the differance cause I hearedem talking.Their leaders name is Al Gore. Hoss

Yeah, Randy, the atmospheric conditions have been crazy. Signals which usually reach us are going way over our heads. Couple nites ago, I was unable to get any thing local, but watched the news on channel 22 out of South Bend! (I live about 15 miles north of rrlund.) Ham operators call it a band opening. Son at this location was using his 2 meter ham radio, accessing a radio repeater station in Milwalkee. Our local repeater was copying signals from Wisconsin, that were slightly off our frequency, still strong and readable. Atmospheric conditions due to weather fronts can do this, can hardly wait for spring, when this type of thing happens often.

Sun spot activity has been at a very low level of recent. This is terrestrial nature, due to atmospheric conditions.

I usually get 16 channels to scan in on mine. Last week I thought I would update it once and I pulled in 30. They didn't last long though. I still get 4 that I didn't before. Now I have 2 CBS, 2 CW, Aztecia or whatever the heck it is and 2 NBC. Oh goody!
