Farm.1256 cab heater

Mine is not putting out any heat. Anyone out there got one of these and in working order that can tell me where the hoses are to be connected. I have one hose from behind thermost to the heater and one from heater to side drain on block on left side. Is this right or wrong.

Thanks You,

There is a pressure differential between the front of the head and the rear of the head.

This is the way that they are plumbed from the factory: One hose to a plug on the front end of the head and the other to a plug on the rear of the head to take advantage of that pressure differential.

Other things to consider are a plugged up heater core, a malfunctioning shut off valve and also remember that diesels need to be working pretty good to develop much heat when it's cold outside.

Thanks Allan. There is no heater valve in this, just striaght through but still a possability that it could be plugged.

I agree with Allen, Run that 1206 hard for a while & get the engine good & warm. Might try some cardboard in front of the radiator.

Feel the hoses. They should be about the same temp. If they are not & there is a lot of differance in temp then that indicates a pluged heater core. Gerald
