Need a Few More Days Like THIS

Things dried up a "litte" bit today but we need more days (+) to make it firm.
I got to take the 4 wheeler out yesterday and JD compact today around and pick up things but still a lot of water sitting in the fields.

Wait till it freezes?

Yes today was difinetly a "bonus" day got a ton of stuff done myself, trimmed branches with my pole saw (a must have for any home/farm owner) split and stacked firewood, and cleaned out the garden shed. Sounds like we are about out of days like today until spring.

Hey Jim- I spent the day at the annual Taylorville auction- LOTS of Olivers there, and plenty of others. I think a little over 270 tractors. Not as many implements this year. I came home with an empty trailer- everything I could afford went for $500 more than I was willing to pay, and it seemed everything I couldn't afford went cheap. There were some deals there, just not on the tractors I wanted. Typical auction I guess, but it sure was a nice day.

yes it was a nice day, in Taylorville today. Like you i didn't get to bring anything home, 'cept a little mud. But at this point, i guess a little more mud won't hurt anything. Ended up hauling some corn after i got home.

Kevin,
Don't you know the "cost" of hauling an empty trailer home? Looked at the online sales and it looked like there were some good buys. Didn't really need anything but you know how that goes.
I had heard about it but then forgot - old age?
Jim
