We heard an ambulance headed our way before daylight this morning but the siren stopped all of a sudden. I thought there must be ANOTHER wreck on the curve,but they pulled into the neighbors driveway. We thought for sure one of them must have had a heart attack or something. The wife jumped in her truck and headed down there. Luckily it wasn't either one of them. They had gone out to go to work and heard somebody yelling and banging in their travel trailer. There had been a wreck around 2am and a kid known to get in a lot of trouble here in town was a passenger in the car and had taken off because there was a warrant out for him. He had hidden out in there with a broken back. I went down after daylight and saw where they had come to a stop about 5 feet shy of my 5 strand barbed wire fence with cows in that pasture. A lucky morning for everybody but the little shite with the broken back.

I'll bet that curve gets a lot of trouble for folks who are goin' a little fast, or don't know it's there. sometimes use it as a learning curve fro my driving students. Suprised they did't put the ambulance right thru the fence. They tend to drive those things a little aggressive! So, did they take him to the hospital, or the jail?

Our road is straight but undulates. The local Dukes of Hazard like to get their heaps airborne giving no thought to the possibility that something could be on the other side. Last spring, one lost control after landing and his car rolled a bunch of times throwing him out and rolling over him.
We get 7" of rain a year. You should be there that day 
I had a neighbor that moved out from the city that would do 70mph on the pea gravel roads. I yelled at him a couple times and just got the finger.
One day I was going out after our big rain and here comes the neighbor passing me in his Datsun pu like I was setting still.
A little ways down the road he hit a puddle of water and bounced off the 2ft road burms a couple times almost flipping his pu. I seen air several times under his pu.
He jammed on his brakes and was just sitting there shaking when I passed by and tooted my horn and gave him the one finger salute.
He moved shortly afterwords. lol
