Perfect weather , over 900 tractors crossed Michigan,s 5 mile bridge! Great day and great promotion for the hobby.Still one of the lowest cost/high reward hobbies out there.Thanks to Owosso Tractor Parts and all who planned and worked for the last year to pull off another one. Hope it continues. If you missed it you can buy video/DVD from them.
 
I have been to Owosso tractor parts before....getting a part for my Farmall H, years ago.
I have only crossed that bridge 1 time and it is long......

Do you remember 20 years ago when that girl ran off over the rail with her Yugo in high winds. That would be a bad way to die.
I bet her last words were....YYYYYAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH.............OOOOOOOOHH
HHHHHHHH.........SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIITTTTTTT.
 
I was there. Good show.I am only hoping that I can someday join the club of crossers.All the drivers looked happy. And quite a few hollered to the crowd that they should do it to.
 
Anyone got pics? It must be one beauty of a ride! Any breakdowns out on the middle? That would be a negative experience!
We went across it back in June and it's quite a view from a car let alone from a tractor.
 
From eye witness accounts , she was probably too high to even know what happened.Quite a shame anyway.
 
That woman might still be alive if the guard rails on the Mac had met the highway standards of the day. Apparently the bridge is exempt from compliance with current standards. From what I understand, the car hit the low rail next to the roadway, which launched it over the higher outside rail.
