Few pics from the other day. The 4 old tractors are Lanz Bulldogs. Then a couple pics of my helpers and a shot of the clod inspectors/experts.

The implement, I believe is a type of disc. The field is beets. Not sure if sugar or feed beets but prolly sugar.

Bill, the implement is a packer disk. All disks share a common shaft, which is, unlike a disk harrow, perpendicular to the direction of travel. Used on sandy soils to compact the plowed soil; on the back of this tractor there is probably a drill or planter. (The disks in front of the tractor wheels are smaller in diameter because the tractor wheels also compact the soil.) HTH, Hendrik

I think the only way your helper could be any happier is if he was in the cab! Nice pictures of the dogs. Chris

Morning Dave,
Thanks for the pics. Those exhaust pipes almost look like expansion chambers on 2 stroke MX bikes.!!
Nice looking farm country. And i thought the farming world revolved around us over here. I'll have to take a tour one of these years over the big pond.

What would be the approximate year models of those Lanz Bulldog tractors?

Really like the exhaust pipes on those tractors.

Looks like your helpers were also having a good time; nice photos of your family.

Very plain to see that you're not to be one lonesome fellow.

Thanks for sharing the photos with us.

Top one is about 1940... Rest are close by. The little guy is kind of a grandson by default (stepson's girlfriend's kid from a time she couldn't keep her pants on). He calls us horse grandma and grandpa and named all his animal toys after my dog. Wife picks him up now and then and he rides quad and tractor w/ the old man.
