JD 2520 Diesel

I posted this over on the John Deere Forum but everybody must be on vacation. LOL.
I'm helping an friend on pricing a 2520 that is for sale in the area. It is a 1969 Diesel with wide front and one remote. The spindle steering arms are sloppy on both sides, has one bad rear tire and fender and has used truck tires on the front. The sheet metal is 85% straight and the paint is faded or worn off. The muffler is generic. Mechanically it seems to be fair although you can't go far with the bad tire to test it.
The seller has not set a firm price, yet.
I do not get to see any 2520's sell around here. The few advertised all have been repainted recently with the tires shined up. They all ASK in excess of 10k but I really wonder how many get close to that. My gut feeling is 6000 to 6500 but even that might be high. Opinions?!

They are quite collectible. If it is a powershift diesel they only made I believe 252 or so of them.

We have two Powershift side counsel diesels. One is a wide front the other is a narrow. They were both purchased new and we would not part with them.

Even in that condition you could easy spend $6,000 on tires, minor parts, paint etc with your labour for free.
4-5 grand now and if they had kept it up 8-9 grand.

IT was real rough. I bought a 4440 salvage tractor and guy told me part of the deal was I had to take the 2520.trans went out so he parked it 15 years ago.water must of got in engine and cracked the block or he didnt have antifreeze in it.I took all good parts off of it and junked the rest. Its a shame he let it go like that.

30k???? i have never seen one sell for nearly that much. I would say 10-15k in good condition. Just like the rest of the 20 series. This one sounds like its worth in the 5-6k range. idk a picture would help a lot.
