Bobcat Replacement Engine

Bought a Bobcat skid steer 440B w/out an engine. Anyone know of a repacement that will bolt in and work for this machine? Engine mount is there.

they come with the 18hp wisconsin in them ,at least thats what mine came with.

I saw a broom go at auction last week with a nearly new wisconsin 4cyl. for $200 on it. Something like that or a small diesel would work well

Didn't the later ones come with a Japanese deisel in them. Bobcat is now owned by a Korean company so probably will have a Korean motor in future ones.

Have a friend that bought an old Case. has a pinto 4 cyl that died and is now working to put a 5 cyl Mercedes diesel in it . I will say it is going to be a lot of engineering to do so as he is eliminating the belt drive and converting to hydraulic motors and a stacked pump.

440B originally had a Kohler M18QS engine. Still available through Bobcat in both new and reman. 6662970
