stupid Illinois weather

Yesterday was about as nice a day as we have had this spring. We spent the day hauling manure and working with the cattle.

It is still pretty wet, got snagged once, but finally showing some promise that we may get to work the fields sooner than later. Tom stopped in last night with pictures of plowing sod yesterday afternoon and it looked pretty good. A couple of nice days and things would really start to happen.

I heard rain hitting the windows at 4:45 this morning. Forecast is for rain and storms all day. What caught me by suprise is we could get 6 inches of snow and 40mph winds over the next 36 hours. Looks like alot of people in the middle of ameriaca are going to be dealing with snow again. I wonder, will we ever see spring?

yep we got 2 inches of the white stuff last night and they are talking high winds today,sure wish we would get some nice weather soon its been a long winter, northwest wisconsin

I hope things don't get to carried away again! The River can't take to much more I don't think.
I am in Ottawa and when things dry out a little I have to gardens to plow.

The furnace here went off at 6pm last night and would not relight.

Had to crawl up on the roof to dig out the chimney as it was totally covered with snow. :>(

Here in NW TN we are expecting a high of 71 today and a hight of 39 tomorrow with snow showers.

Yep, here in Eastern NY we had howeling winds all day yesterday, and still is going today, Sunday,. There saying rain tomarrow and some snow Wed,,, Up to 6 inches in Buffalo, only a dusting here.. Pretty sad we had 68 degrees last Saturday and now this. stupid weather.j

yeah , it's turned backward, hard to figure, but that cold air sure seems to dominate, on friday you could really see the contrast, the eastern seaboard was warm, but the rest of the country was in the 30's or so, that warm tropical air was blowin in and pushing that front back here was working outside in a t-shirt, but it gave way finally. We are not saturated, but I hope it dries up a bit, cold has been nice for gathering up logs, cutting, clearing edges of fields like I've been doing, but I hope it turns out like '07, that cold air from the north sure made for some nice weather from May to Sept.

The weather guessers had a winter storm warning for SE MN Sat night and Sunday. But as usual it fizzled out and we got less than an inch. Good tho as I had 6 new calves during the night, all were well. We are very dry here, a cloud of dust follows the atv when I drive in the pastures. We are 8 inches below normal so I would like to see some rain.
