It was a chilly 12 above here this morning and thanks to daylight savings time I can start chores before the sun comes up. And as you can see the moon was still high in the sky.
I was quite suprised when I got to the higgs farm and found these girls waiting in the sheds for me. That is usually a indication that the weather sucks.
This is what the field looks like where he bales are at for the cows. We have had alot of rain and terrible mud and this morning it was froze solid.
I felt bad for the cows, they really dont like walking out there at all, so I got the 4020 out and set a bale on the concrete and let them have it.
They seemed glad not to have to wander out on those frozen ruts and didnt waste as much as I thought they might.
If it stays this way I will bring up some bale rings and put them on the concrete. Wandering around out on those frozens ruts has to be hard on those old cows feet. Spring is coming right?
