Yup, been seeing that same buncha pictures for about 4-5 years now. Back then they were saying we would be seeing them on the market in 4 or 5 years.

If they were price'd right those would be nice on tobacco wagons but I don't see them going on any of mine any time soon. Think I will stick with the junk yard specials.

No punctures! But that means that the cop's spike strip is ineffective. My bigger concern is wait until they're loaded up with mud, snow or ice. Going to be a real thrill!

I've seen those pictures a while back- Ray makes a good point about getting loaded up with mud and snow. No way I could use them because of this fact. Whenever a little bit of snow & ice would freeze to my rim it would gove me the shakes pretty bad. Can't imagine snow and ice freezing in those tires...

I would imagine they are like this for test reasons. Would surly have to put a side wall on them. If not they are not selling around here. It would not take long for your front end to come lose from whoping around like a unballaced wash machine.

That is the Tweel technology that was first seen, back 4-5 years ago. Glad to see they continued development. Its more than just an airless tire. The flex ability like they are showing in the picture is great. On a hard take off I think they'd put more rubber on the ground too.

I wonder how they would do here in 30, 40 below zero. I bet the flat spot from sitting too long would sure raise he** with the front end.

They're not on the market yet as far as I know- still in the testing stage, and I can almost guarantee tht they don't do the real world test of a car that sits outside all night and has snow blow and drift into the alloy rims, then freeze in place.

That'd be my car. Last winter I was on my way down to Madison and there was ice froze to the rim. It was slushy & crappy out, but I took it to a car wash anyway. Was enough to melt the ice and give me a good ride again. Was filthy by the time I got to where I was going though...
