Another brave Canadian soldier will arrive here today at Trenton Air Base from Afganistan where he will be met by family and thousands of friends who will line the Highway Of Heroes from here to Toronto. We know nothing on this earth is greater than a man who lays his life for another which is what our soldiers do every day.God bless you Trooper Good.

Thats good to hear.Yesterday I saw a large Marine Corps sticker on a car.Unfortunatly underneath was a young mans name and the years 1985 - 2006.He only made it to age twenty one.

We here in the states don't always express the appreciation that we should for the sacrifices made by our comrades-in-arms, particularly those made by our British and Canadian brothers. I want to say "thank you" to your young men and women who lay their lives on the line throughout the world.

Thanks for informing us of this. I wasn't aware that Canadians were over there. I truly appreciate anyone who takes time out their life to make this world a safer place and to fight for our freedom. Rick Reed USAF Viet Nam 1970

Hey northerner I was out cutting wood this morning and saw the plane coming in to Trenton, they usually fly right over top of us lining up for approach.

I have seen five of the processions going up the highway. At Canadian Forces Base Trenton there are hundreds for people lining the road to honor the fallen soldiers, along the 401 between Trenton and Toronto (High of Heroes so named for the soldiers)there are people lining almost every overpass for the 120 mile trip. Firemen, police officers, EMT's, flag bearers from the Royal Canadian Legion branches along the way and average citizens with flags waving, lights flashing, people standing at attention saluting these brave young people on their last journey. Regardless of weather conditions they are always there. It is the least we average people can for these brave young men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us and our way of life here in North America. I have felt very proud to be Canadian while at the same time feeling very sad watching all this trasnpire.

Where were you stationed? I was based out of Camron bay for some of my tour, but we only got back there once every few days. If you was in Phan Rang, we overnighted there often, 360 Tran, line haul fuel Co., we run with the 44 duces often.

I went there (in country) Jan 1 1970 at 6 AM. to March 9th 71. Was in the Big Red 1 untill the colors came home. Then transfered in country to Cameron Bay.

Maybe we crossed paths. I tried to locate a class mate that was in Phan Rang, my gunner, and the lewie both remembered seeing the name somewhere. We made a intentional delay in the convoy so we could overnight it there. We took off with the gun jeep, and toured the base, and finaly gave up. As we pulled back in where the trucks were parked we noticed a sign....yea to many trees, we could not see the forest. Come to find out, (we slept under our trucks) but if I would have stuck my fist through the wall of the building I was parked by, I would have smacked his buddy, as he slept in that same building.

If you ever saw a jeep with a 50, that was the only one ever seen in country.

That same classmate winters there every year, says it is a great place, everyone is happy, but you never get within two miles of any military base nowdays.

You may have heard of the ruckus about Blair House and our ex Prime Minister pushing out the President in waiting..Seems like a GW get even event, anyhow he will be over there to receive a medal for believing GW's lies, TODAY they are holding a funeral for one of our bravest returned from Afghanistan.
One gets the Medal, the other gets the metal, makes me want to puke.

What a small mind that believes one person holds so much power in thier hands.Good luck with the (no expierienced) MESSIAH.What have you done for your country/freedom?
