Here's one of the projects I had at my place this summer.Built the deck from treated 4x4's,2x4's,patio block and deck planks.Made sure everything was level.

Had 6 of these round wire cribs we don't use anymore,so sold 'em off, held one back, and moved in the back yard.

It had 3 rings of 4 feet high,so left out bottom ring leaving it 8 ft.Moved it in place, lag bolted on,purtied it up a bit and done deal.

When I told the missus we were gonna have a corn crib gazebo, she gave me a funny look. The look I get when I tell her we're getting another tractor! Now she LOVES it! Her mom and sister are jealous.

I spent alot of hours inside these dang things shoveling ear corn as a kid,now it's nice to relax inside the dang thing for a change!

Shoot, you need to get a patent on that idea ! I like to see creative use of old things. Have you thought of putting in one of those Chimera stoves to knock the chill off of cool nights ?

Been seeing alot of that around here. Also alot of people lining the insides with sheet metal and makin ghtem a grain bin. Nice job!

We bought our's last week!

Can not wait to get it moved. We have to disassemble our's because it is 16 ft in diameter.

Thinking about putting our's on concrete, any suggestions?
We will send pictures when we get done. It will be next spring!

Not sure what's red-necky about it.Just thought it was a creative way to preserve the yesteryears instead of cutting it up.

BTW,me a red-neck.....hell yeah!

Way ahead of ya.Got one in it,pot-bellied lookin thing to the right.Works good for the cool nights.

Mine is a 14'.Thought of concrete, but the wood structure was more like a patio deck, more appealing and more comfortable.

Should add that I have a total of about $1200 invested including material, patio set, chimnia, lights, trellis, etc.

We delivered three of the cribs we sold,so got pretty good it it.

Nice job there! Your wife must trust you pretty well-if my wife can't visualize it, it ain't happening. Greg

No body has mentioned it but a damn good job of backing that trailer. Redneck we are,Hell Yea !! country boy's can survive can't we.

Visited the zoo in Pueblo, Colorado several (probably 8-10) years ago. They had several round Behlen cribs (still had the name plates on them) being used as cages for birds, monkeys, etc. Anyone from the area still know if they are in use?

I live there, but have not been to the zoo for a couple years and do not remember seeing them, but will make sure to look next time.

Very innovative, great idea! Some are kidding about the redneck thing, but I,d bet that Jeff Foxworty would say, why didn't I think of that? :D
