My 71 yr. old farming father is in need of prayers. He recently had his second pacemaker put in and while on a pennstate vacation, he loves nittany lion football as he grad. from there, he developed a nasty infection in his chest. they will be sending him to Pittsburgh to have the old pacemaker removed and a new one put on the other side a few days later. After several hip/shoulder replacements, heart surgeries, etc.. he is just getting tired and frustrated. When I spoke to him last night he was upset he couldn't get the tractor pulls on tv in the hospital and he was worried about the farm and crops. I hope the Lord knows how much we still need him.

First and foremost, my prayers. Secondly, if he's getting upset and angry over being tied down and not being able to do things like watch the tractor pulls, sounds kind of catankerous so to speak, in a good way...a fighter. Personally, I think that mental state has much to do with it. If one's ready to lie down and give up is one thing, but if one's ready to clobber you with his cane because the picture's too fuzzy to see the distance of a pull, then that's a good thing. I hope he whacks the doctors and you a good one, and when no one's lookin, puts the best looking nurse over his knee and gives her a good spanking. Tell him I said that.
