Ok guys, here we go again, now they are talking about gas going up .10 cents a gallon by Labor day because of a Possible Hurricane in teh gulf, Good lord any thing at all and they start talking jacking up prices. Lets send Exxon/Mobiles CEO some McDonalds gift cards, I don't think the sorry &*^*%*)^*&^(&%(&)^*)%) is going to be able to afford eat and I sure don't want to see him go hungry.

That don’t surprise me. As sone as it starts to drop some thing gives them a excuse to jack up the price. Buy the way where in texas are you at Gary. I live in Balliger texas.

Same thing I said but hit question mark instead of a period.
I think this hurricane will peter out too.
Point of post below was, that's how the weathers been there for thousands of years and that's where the oil is, so why are we paying for somebody doing their job.

I guess it is awful good for the oil companies, etc. that such terrible storms tend to coincide with major summertime driving holidays (;>)

Our favorite way to spend summer holidays in the past few years has been to sit at home and make our own entertainment.

First time the oil companies ever tried raising the prices at a holiday people should have protested. What's the reasoning other than gouging for the pirce of fuel to go up around the holidays?

IMO - it doesn"t have anything to do with the hurricane. It has everything to do with the holiday week end and increased travel.

Here in Dallas, before gas went through the roof, we would always fill up mid-week because the gas prices would go up around Thursday, stay up over the week end, then come down Monday night.

Well this comment is more about the hurricane. Other than maybe the big refinery in Pascagoula, and maybe New Orleans area I don't think this one will affect the main field of offshore platforms, and refineries in the La. Texas coasts. The computer models consistently bring it into the eastern side of the northern gulf coast. I agree with Nancy-they are just getting ready to gouge the holiday travelers.

I'm about 60 miles north of Dallas. I have to inject this as I did forget about the holiday coming up with the fuel prices and all but still they will use the hurricane as an excuse to gouge us. I don't do holidays anymore since the divorce, I just don't see any point to do any of them, I have got to the point of hating Christmas time too. Have not put up a tree since 1998, my presnet for xmas of 99 was the divorce being final.
