prolly heading out sometime next week to look at the tractors and get some photos at the old farm i posted about the other day. i'd like to get some serial numbers too when i post the photos. on the jd b's, they are stlyed, where is the serial number? on the wc allis wheres that one? on the allic c? massey 165? just in case i need to look and run due to the wasps, i dont want to diddle around too much. (i'm taking wasp spray and brake cleaner too!!!) thnx glenn

The WC has it on the center of the rear axle just under the seat. It is stamped into the axle, which makes it a little tough to read it is painted over heavily.

my book says the 165 massey plate is on the dash panel. allis c is on top of the transmission case, to the rear of the shift lever.

Allis C is by the shifter. Some wartime WC tractors, number was on the differential, but along the top curved edge, ending in 'S', indicating a pressed steel rear end. WC Cast rear ends are a bit below, on a flat surface on the differential, below 'Tractor No.'
