Hydraulic slow picking up and pto shaft stops under pressure How can this be fixed?

To be able to help you need to tell us what tractor you have. Theres probably more then 1000 models of tractors and the fix for each one is different.

doug: Without knowing the make and model, the best advice I can give is send it to the scrapyard.

I'm guessing you've got a hydraulically actuated PTO, and hydraulic pressure is getting low enough that it won't hold the PTO "in gear". I had an IH 674 with that problem, and checked the filter- full of crud- changed filter and fluid, and I was good to go. The others are right, though- Its just shooting in the dark to try to diagnose a problem without knowing what tractor it is.
