My #4 piston is stuck and I had it soaking in transmission fluid for about 3 weeks with no effect. I removed the block and put it on the work bench. I stood over it with my 16# sledge hammer and a 2X4 and wailed on that sucker and it still will not budge. It looks like someone welded it in there. # 3 was free so I pulled it out and checked the ring gap. I quit checking at .090". So, what now folks. With that kind ring gap, I will at least re-ring all the cylinders. But, does anyone have an idea as to how to remove that piston without ruining the block? I appreciate any help y'all can give me.
