Thanks for the pictures Allan. My dad is going to be 98 in a few days. He never seemed happier than when we were getting in good hay, that's been years ago. I printed some of your pictures for him, I know they'll bring back good memories. Those go clear back to the days when we had a buckrake and pulled hay up into the mow on slings.

That's what I told the wife yesterday when I was tired, frustrated, on edge and grumpy (hay was still too green to bale).

At least we're not doing it with a pitchfork like we did in the old days.

'Course, back then, I don't ever remember worrying about the hay being too darned wet to put up either. :>)

I have really enjoyed your pictures. Keep posting them! We had planned on cutting our hayfield in n.e. Tx on Sunday, but Sat nite a T-storm came through and dumped 1.25 inches and about another 1/2 on Sun am. Clouds didn't clear off until about 1:00, so hayfield didn't get cut. I'm not complaining about the rain. Anytime you get a good rain here after May, its a real blessing.

Allan, Don't you have an extra older baler you fixed up before you got this one? I know how you feel when I have 40 acres rowed up and rain on the forcast. I just have that feeling of anxioty hopeing everything holds together. Then somthing like this happens on a Sat, evening...

There must be an explanation as to the yellow upon red tractor in picture. There are many replies that have requested such explanation for such a horrible deed. EXPLAIN!
