The job itself was slow & tedious, but I accomplished what I set out to do. Figure out the machine, learn adjustments, enjoy the weather & get the grass picked up along side the lane. The two big takeaways, any rusty surfaces that contact hay need to be bare metal or painted. The transmission needs to be set to long-cut to speed up the feeder apron & the pickup head that it drives. Anything faster will need a sprocket change.
Next on the list will be trying out the corn head. Once the weather dries out in about a week or so.
