Is common to swath soybeans in some areas? In my experience as a kid and teenager on the farm in Kansas the gentler you were with that crop during harvest the less that shattered out of the pods.

We had the swather out to cut some buckwheat and decided it would be neat to cut some soybeans too and run them through the old combine.

Can you provide the brand name and model, where you purchased your drone? I find this interesting. I'm also interested in checking on barn and stock while sitting in my house if that's even possible. Without using security cameras. We have alot of deer and coyote activity and I think a drone would be a perfect application. I know they have hundreds of different drones but I'm hoping to find a low budget easy to operate drone. You did a great job and make it look simple. Is it as simple as it looks?

DJI Mini3. They are pretty easy to fly. I am not sure it will work well sitting in your house as far as the handset reception goes. That being said, I have not tried it myself.

I grew up in central KS in the days before anyone grew soybeans so I have no experience, but I also am surprised they do not shell onto the ground. I "thought" that when dry they were fragile in the pod. Do you now have to go around with a combine and thresh them? Does it pay to cover the ground twice?

They did shatter some. We had the swather out cutting buckwheat so we decided to swath some beans for the heck of it and run it through the combine. Hopefully will get some video of that as well.
