Can anyone help me identify the year of my IH 240A? Thank you.

My book says 240 manufactured 1958-62. Serial No.s--501 to 4562.

I believe he is referring to the 240A industrial, built between 1978 and 1982, not the 240 utility.

Hello Ken welcome to YT! You need to look for an
ID/serial number plate on the machine. If you find that
and post the serial number someone may be able to
help you. Common location on IH stuff is the clutch
bell housing. I believe that machine is from the era
when Dresser bought out the industrial side of IH so
the location may be different.
