I posted this morning about bring my 2 122 Chuck Wagons home. All went well until we got to Ames Iowa which was about half way in our trip home. Looked back to see lots of smoke and felt like an anchor had been dropped. The front spring hangers had broken off on both sides. The axle had shifted over and the tire was rubbing the trailer sides. We were close to a side road and pulled off. For some reason my 1 1/16 socket was missing and I needed a second jack and some blocks. Unhooked and went back an exit to Menards for the needed extras. Jacked the trailer up and removed the four tires from the front axle. The trailer has 12,000 lb axles so we decided to chain the front set up on both sides and come home. Had my sons dually pickup and the wagons weigh 4000 pounds each. Not ideal but we made it home. Sure was hot when I was working on it. The wife says she hopes it cures me of buying stuff so far away. Right now maybe but when the next have to have comes along........ Tom
