Post lag time

Hello,

I'm a relatively new member with only a couple posts so maybe I'm in a moderation quarantine until I'm past a certain number but I was just curious if a 24 hour+ lag is normal on having posts appear on forums here? Would I get a notice if a post was rejected? I can't see any "pending review" in my sent messages so maybe it never sent? Just unsure what to expect here.

Thanks!

enerally in seconds, but might matter where your located...............in North America?

I have over 40 thousand posts and have never had or heard of lag like that. If you are on a DSL, or dial up link from your ISP that may be an issue. If from a country other than USA, that might do it. If you are using a server that is owned by others (like a university or business), their internal security protocol may cause delays. Jim

Hello Del! In my experience posting here if something
is not allowed the filters catch it and do not allow it to
post. And in my experience you are immediately
notified that your post is rejected. One thing that will
get a post declined is using the name of a recent
medical convolution co v id, word is broke apart here
to slip it past the filters. I just tried it in the test forum
and of course no go. Unless you placed something in
your post about that topic that after the fact was
moderated and they decided to remove the post. I will
link the test forum to this post. You can try to make
tests posts all you want there, this link is in Classic
View, if you prefer Modern you will need to choose that
view and then find the ..Test forum.. in the forum index.
As far as I know there is no type of posting quarantine
time. There is often 2 steps to post, Preview and then
Submit. You mentioned ..you do not see any pending
review in your sent messages.. I believe you may be
confusing posting here with your email. Those are two
total different platforms. I am not aware of such a
location that holds or shows what you are posting prior
to it being found listed in a Discussion Forum. As
DaveBN replied the posting is nearly immediate.
