barn gutter cleaner direction question

quick question. I was asked i our old Patz barn cleaner (selling for parts) is Right hand or left handed.

How can you tell? this one runs counter clockwise. if your looking at the top of the elevator from the barn out, outside the loaded chain is on the right side and the empty chain returns on the left back into the barn.

I remember my uncles ran clockwise in his bar but it was on the opposite side of the barn than ours is.

Standing at the bottom of the chute and looking up, is the chain on the left side or right side of the loaded chute? If on the left side of the loaded chute, the gutter cleaner chain runs counter clockwise, like mine in this picture.The loaded chute is on the right side of the picture

Chain goes to the top, turns left and is running counter clockwise down the return slide.
 
Seems like it would have been easier for the buyer to think about it for a few seconds, and figure out if their gutter cleaner turned clockwise or counter-clockwise, than to break off the conversation, come here asking for opinions, and getting back to the buyer. By the time this is all said and done the buyer will probably flake out on you...

he didn't know and I didn't know so what's your point? if you're worried about wasting time on this site there is plenty of posts on here you can chime in on as well.

He didn't ask which direction it went. just left or right. wasn't going to tell him the wrong thing if the wealth of knowledge on here could help us sort it out.

plus its not a working system i'm selling and was planning to scrap it other than selling a few good pieces on eeebay which i already have some so its not a big deal buster. selling for about $1/ft and it has a mix of good and bad links. so if he flakes out so be it. He is actually someone whos family knows parts of my extended family as well so he's probably not too flaky... if it doesn't fit he barn then i'll know for the next customer.
