in East Moline is this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I'm selling 2 tractors, a Oliver 880 and a Oliver 1850 diesel. The 880 sells Thursday and the 1850 is the first tractor sold Saturday. I belong to the Antique Engine and Tractor Association in Geneseo, Ill and the club drives tractors thru the ring for the auction, so I'll be there all 3 days. Sounds like it will be COLD!!!! I'll be the old guy with a beard and so many clothes on that I can hardly move and using a cane.

Me too!!!! I think the economy is gonna get a whole lot worse so I might as well sell a couple now while they are worth something.

SUPER 99 - Say HI to my Cousin, He'll probably be there with his Nephew.
I'd like to get in and snoop around there! MAX ARMSTRONG interviewed one of the TENNANT boys about their plans for the old IH East Moline Plant, motels, hotels, shops, restaurants, casino's, Even machine shops and warehouses. Sid Tennant, original owner of Tennant Trucking and his two sons, and think it's Sid's brother are behind that whole Bend X-Po.
I actually worked way out in the back of that plant, On the Riverbank as they called it, in the large shear department, helper on an 8 ft Cincinnati shear, 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, couple of those nights it was brutally cold, even INSIDE the plant it was below 10 degrees, they made no attempt to heat our work area.

I went to one of their auctions over at the Fairgrounds in Davenport about 10-12 years ago. That was before they charged admission whether you got a bidding number or not.

If I knew who they were, I'd say Hi but since I don't, they'll have to find me. I plan to drive my tractors thru the ring. Yes, that can be a very cold place!!!!

Mecum website reports they will not take the tractors through the building. They will be sold by photo and try to keep the heat in the arena
