Reacurring problem

Today I hauled home a Massey Ferguson 36 rake frame suspended on another thing on trailer. It didn't occur to me that since we took drive shaft off because I hauled roll bar rake part home yesterday that the wheel could fall off. I was 40 miles into it and noticed it was gone at gas station. So I unhooked trailer and drove all the way back and lucked out again and it was on the shoulder a few miles from farm. I blame it on the S10 since the passenger mirror sags and it was raining. When i was driving back there was a car flipped over on the interstate bridge and I was concerned it might of been from that. This situation is eerily similar to when I hauled John Deere 116 baler home and lost pto shaft in ditch and found it and when someone put pto shaft on my trailer for MC Skythe so I guess it's lottery ticket time but I never learn. It sure is challenging to transport machinery home without a screw up.

It's not that hard. Develop a routine and follow it, when doing these things and it will become second nature. I used to haul equipment, and machinery all over the country all the time with no problems like that.

I always check everything several times before leaving. Usually stop before getting on a highway and check all tie downs ect.
