Equivalent To IH and Farmall

The IH and Farmall folks IMHO do a nice job with their IHCC (International Harvester Collectors Club) with chapters all over the country, Harvester Highlights magazine, Redpower Roundup and more - along with the Red Power magazine and lots of dedicated vendors that carry parts, including this site.

What about JD, Oliver, AC, Case - do they have the equivalent to the above owners and enthusiasts can plug into?

Just curious.

Thanks!

I know there are groups and magazines dedicated to several other brands. I don't know if they are national or local, big or small. My tractors are all Farmalls so only cross paths with other groups once in a while.

Ive been to the Ford Fordson national show in Pa. Nice show it was .
Also to the Oliver show in Wooster, also great national show. At this show was an auction. I learn if your want to get an Oliver buy it at that show ,beautiful tractors at reasonable prices really.
I think each of these clubs have many attributes and I try not to compare to my IHC Ohio club. I see positive in that all Ive attended.
I say your missing out if you dont go and at least look finding new interesting things .

Hart Parr Oliver Collector Association puts out Hart Parr Oliver Collector magazine bimonthly. Sherry Schaefer used to be the editor of HPOC. She puts out Oliver Heritage magazine in the opposite months from HPOC as well as putting out Heritage Iron.

I don't think you're going to find any other brand with a widespread national presence with local/regional chapters like the IH collector's clubs. The closest you're going to come to that is Deere.

None of the other brands sold in sufficient numbers to garner that kind of interest.

A regional Case group is Northland Case Collectors to which I belong. Northland is North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota. Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Iowa. Also belong to the two national Case groups mentioned here.

I've heard of Gathering of the Orange for AC collectors that happens every year I believe, or maybe used to as I haven't seen any ads for it in awhile.

John Deere has a antique convention in Davenport/Rock Island area every late winter. There used to be a really good website I believe was called Deerely Departed or something like that (they were out of the Davenport Iowa area), that sold antique Deere parts, but they have disappeared unless someone here knows what happened to them. They sold good quality stuff and helped me a lot when working on a 39 B years ago.

The group I used to be with disbanded due to a dispute with the museum where we used to meet basically taking over our show and none of the board was in our club (long story). The remaining members have either passed on or joined an actual antique tractor club and museum in the neighboring county, but it's an hour drive one way for me so I didn't move on, I just free lance now :)

Honestly, most folks check in on the Oliver forum right here. HPOCA website has a forum, but it's pretty vacant. You might check it out to see. Larry Harsin has a Q&A on his site. Sherry has a ton of reference material and can be reached by email through her Oliver Heritage site.

I know whee there's a 99. They were the same as a 90 except they were gas instead of distillate. He won't put a price on it, just wants somebody to make an offer. It's in it's original clothes. Runs, but not well.

There's this 80 too that belongs to an Oliver guy in the club. I don't know if he'd sell that or not.

woould you e mail the fellows phone number for the 99. Also phone of 80 in your club. Thank you e mail is open.

I'll have to try to find Leo's number on the 99. He just lives a few miles down the road, but you know how hard it is to find anybody's number these days. We have a club meeting tonight. I'll ask Terry about the 80 if he's there.
