Balancing Beads in G Rated Tires

I bought a new goose neck trailer a few years ago. I upgraded the tires to G rated as part of the order. The first time I aired them up a little the schrader valves started leaking on two of them. There appeared to be small grains of sand or glass beads stuck in the seals. Every time I check the tire pressures I have at least one schrader valve leaking. I did some research and found that there are such a thing as balancing beads. Has anybody used them or found them in their tires? I hate them and want to get them removed from the tires. The local tire shop I go to has heard of balancing beads, but has never seen any.

(quoted from post at 09:44:28 07/28/22) You need the proper valve stem cores that are compatible with the beads. The beads aren't the problem.

This is correct. The beads actually work pretty well considering the simplicity.

Balancing beads are used more in truck tires, the 22.5 and 24.5 tire sizes. They throw a bag or two in the tire and put it on the rim. When it comes time to replace the tires the bag has disintegrated and some of the breads are turned to powder.

Place I have been buying tires from uses them in all heavy pickup tires and larger. I have had no issues with them with my trucks.

We use them in our pick up it has 19.5, love them, takes a bit to get use to them. when you ck the tire pressure if one is seeping just bump a little air to it, the valve have filters to keep the beads in but once in awhile one will get buy.

Used that on the pick up .

I reall never had any issues.
Suggest only air up tires with valves stems up at highest point .
Use dry air .
Replace schrader valves
