Roof Walk Behind

I have a walk behind, Vanguard 9hp, full metal cage up front around the blade. Like everyone else, I'm looking for a parts manual and in particular, a picture or description of the device on the left rear of the motor that tightens the belt. Any help is greatly appreciaed.

I've been trying to figure out how to put a pic on here, but ..... no luck so far. The data plate sticker says: MODEL 878302 and SERIAL 177285. I believe this mower is original. The adjusting gadget that slides the motor forwards/backwards to tighten the belt is missing, as is the belt. I followed some links about Roof mowers to this site and thought you folks might be able to help some.

More often then not new posters are blocked from
being able to post pictures until they have 5 posts, this
helps keep internet trolls from dumping not so nice
pictures here. Pictures are posted through the
..Choose files.. button down low in the New Post and
reply window. In the first link is a previous YT post that
has some info about the company. In the 2nd link there
is a discussion about those mowers from a different
forum, which I hope will be allowed. There the fourth
post from the end has a link for a manual for a VP75
model. It would appear to me it is older than the one
you are describing. It is in a Google doc sometimes
they are a little finicky about opening. To others this
company must have built some riding mowers that look
like miniature Jeeps, search Roof Palomino.

Thanks for the link to the manual. I'm 99% more knowledgeable than I was yesterday. The guy I bought it from couldn't figure out how to straighten the engine up on the frame, although obviously it was designed to be like that, why ? I haven't a clue. A few more posts and I'll be able to share a pic or two.

Daddy, you look great for being around 90 years old, since I'm 69. Lets get together so you can show me how to get the belt on this thing.

I looked at the vp75 parts list, and the belt listed was #428, which my local guy said was a 5/8 x 72". That isn't close to being close, way too short by feet. Does anyone have an accurate belt listing ? And, can I email someone a pic of this mower so they can post it here for me ? Thanks.
