Was using my DC last weekend and had a loud bang and then no movement. I suspected a drive chain and that's what I found.
This is the first I've actually seen of one of these failing. This tractor has always been used as a loader tractor s a lot of banging back and forth. Found the chain had several cracked links and one finally let loose.
This is clearly not the first time for this tractor as this chain has 2 connectors with a short section between. The other side has been replaced with a heavier chain. I will see if I can find one at the salvage yard today, if not new is available.
This will give me the opportunity to get all the milky oil out. I changed the oil last year, but a fair amount doesn't drain out so it still is milky. Now I'll be able to flush it and get it clean.
