cylinder stop

He wants them to prevent a cylinder from closing all the way. Not sure how much more specific you can get.

Not sure if those would be considered "clamp on" though. They kind of snap over the rod.

I've seen ones that actually mechanically clamp to the cylinder but they work in conjunction with a special type of cylinder that has a button on it. The clamp on limiter pushes the button and stops the cylinder from retracting further.

Wow! My first impression was a combine cylinder, then engine cylinders; of course, it's hydraulic cylinders! (I'm a little slow to catch on!)

Always called them donut stops because shape of donut that you eat. Come in sets of 4. I have not found a cylinder that you could get by with less than 2 sets And to get length of stop you need may even take 3 sets.I don't mean it will take 12 of therm but to get the distance you may need 3 of one size in mix.

That is what I call them-cylinder stops, and they look just like what used red Mn linked to. Augusta farm supply had them individually, I think. I don't remember a price- call them maybe. Mark.
