Second tractor.

Brought home the number two tractor of my latest purchase. Posted pictures a couple days ago of the pony I brought home. Being a Massey Harris guy this tractor had me straying a bit into the dark side. But Im happy with it and excited to get it going.

MHN,
Your instincts are correct, One KNOWS when entering the dark side.... 's my job, I know such things.
I'm a kind soul, and am willing to help you out. I'll take that off your hands ( which will thereafter be clean ) for $100 and I'll come pick it up even!

In Christian love and charity, it's the least I can do...

Fr. Bob

ps. If you're willing to gamble with your eternity, I wish you well. Have FUN. That's a fabulous machine. Great find!

I dont think so GreenEnvy. I dont know where it came from when new. I know three other people that owned it before me and none of them where the original owner. No row crop in my area. Have to get down by the Lethbridge area to get any row crop.

Looks like new! I found 2 720s in a junkyard but I don't know if he would sell them, because he wasn't home. How much did that cost?

Believe it or not I spent a lot of time on a 720 gas with a mounted 4/16s plow. Worked for a neighbor in high school. At night you could lite a cig. off the exhaust manifold as it would be cherry red.

I spent years telling guys to shut that thing off so I can tell if my Oliver is running at tractor pulls. Truth is I really do like them. Nice looking tractor.

Looks like a nice tractor. I had a narrow front 720 just like that when I started farming. Mine was not as nice as yours. I always like to hear the pony motors run. Tom

I think I have an original dealer service manual for a 720 diesel around here somewhere. Happy to provide any info you may need. Good looking Deere.

Ben

I have a 720 diesel Operator's Manual and can provide info if I remember to look here for when you might post questions. Forgetfulness is rampant. But I do remember breaking in a new 720 standard diesel for my employer in 1957. Drove it several days in first gear pulling a heavy cultivator working summerfallow in North Dakota.
