There is not much frost under the snow this year. The quick onset of winter and snow this fall made for a very poor quality of ice on the lakes. And sloughs. Looks like a fluid flush will be in order once the unit is back in the warm shop.

I went to a friends place and pulled his half submerged tractor from his pond one day. He had been cleaning the surface off for skating using his tractor and blade. He was all done and driving off, and the ice gave away near the shore. The tractor seat and steering wheel were still above water. The top of the front tires could be seen just under the water surface. He waded in and put the chain on. I dragged the tractor out and pulled it to his shop. He drained all the water/oil out of the tractor, and replaced it before he started it again. There was a surprising amount of water inside the tractor

Freind of mine is director at a county park. Told one of the workers to go clean the mud off of the boat ramp on the river. He didnt have it in 4 wheel drive and slid into the river. It was a newish IH and cost $10g to get it running again.

Yes its mine. Cleared snow for skating again. Ladies came by on snowmobile and ran it off the road. I drove off the ice there and pulled her out. When I came back in the back tires didnt get up on the ice and broke the edge. We got it out and its sitting in a heated shop now. Will drain fluids today.

I sunk one In the yard couldnt get it out for a day or two had to change the oil 3 times to get all the water out

Were the ladies cute at least ? I sunk one in a mud hole had to change the oil 3 times get all the water out

Skidding one of the last summers my family logged. We were logging off a future subdivision north of Detroit. It was really odd it had already been surveyed and they were putting in roads and certain trees were marked to stay so I couldn't scuff them up. Another company was dredging in a lake with a dragline and a deadhead. The were also working the edges of the swamp with D8s to complete the lake. One day they came and got me they wanted me to winch out a D8 that had got a little far into the swamp. When I got there it was setting in the swamp with water over the seat, still running. My C4 tree Farmer wasn't going to budge that D8. They ended up taking the dragline and tying it down with another D8 to retrieve it.
