clutch linings

Does anyone reccomend a good place to get clutch linings made? So far I have tried these places that claim to be experts and able to make a clutch for any application, but can't seem to help even after sending them pictures and deminsions. They are, D&W Clutch, K&L Clutch, Kentucky Clutch and Lakehead Clutch. I am going to try Rochester Blutch today. Even if I could find someplace to sell me the friction material, I would make them myself. All I need is 2 linings 10 OD and 5.5 ID this is for a 12-20 Case

If you do a search for "friction material" the McMaster Carr site has various types listed you can get in 15 x 15 inch sheets. It shows thickness of 1/8 all the way up to 3/4.

I have not personally tried any of what they carry so you may want to look into which material would be best for your application.

I've always used Fort Wayne clutch.Sometimes they would steer me in a different direction than I was planning, but for good reason.Like on the 950-1050 John Deere's,(Yanmars)they only wanted to send them the whole assembly to redo. They didn't want to redo the linings and me set it back up again. They had reason to do that from experience. Most antique tractor discs they would want me to come up with a thickness spec,if I couldn't they would try.

Cleveland Clutch and Driveline. My E4 clutch was OK at the disc FW and PP but dirty so tore it apart and cleaned everything. I called them and he happily gave me the specs so I could set up the finger height. I told him what it was for he said they used to do a lot of them.

McMaster Carr is a good source for almost anything. I've used their brake and clutch lining material for years at work. I'm not connected to them just a happy customer.

I USE them all the time am I am certain they can fix his problem. They are good and reasonable.

I had them do ,corvettes e brake lininings ,Farmall c brake bands . Small stuff .
But they do aircraft ,large presses .

I know you want to save money, but I think you will have better luck if you ask those places if they will re-line the plate rather than asking them to make linings for you to install. For them, since they installed them (And are supposed to know what they are doing) they should feel less risk about the process.

That's what I had planned was to have them make and rivit the linings on for me since I don't have the correct rivit tool for this. Out of all the places I tried, the only place that wanted to do this is Rochester Clutch and Brake because they like to do clutch and brake work for antique machines.
